Passion Bracket Instructions
Students began project by first empathizing with themselves, by identifying their passions and curiosities. To do this, they completed a discovery bracket, which they subsequently colour coded into different activity types: 1. Producing and participating (Blue); 2. Consuming and watching (Green); 3. Communicating with peers or family (Yellow); 4. Making and creating (Pink).
Note: This activity and the creation of this bracket were adapted from a suggested activity from Spencer and Juliani (2016) pages 168 to 172. Spencer and Juliani (2016) recommend starting with 64 interests, in practice, however, I have found that 32 works more effectively so that students do not get stuck at this stage.
