Using Technology to Support Literacy
in the Intermediate Years
PadletSee my list of ways that you can use Padlet to support learning & literacy in your classroom!PoppletPopplet is a visual thinking and presentation tool allowing students to collaborate with one another, organize information and present information in the form of a web. It is available web based, but is also an app on the iPad.
With a web-bsed account, you may have up to five popplets at a time. Once you create a popplet, you add popples, boxes of text, videos, pictures, links or drawings, to your popplet. Each popple has a line on each side to drag and connect to other poppies. ReadWriteThink.orgThis site is full of great activities and interactive to support literacy and writing goals in any classroom.
I have created a list of my favourite interactives on ReadWriteThink here. This list of available interactives is not exhaustive. The website is worth exploring to find other lessons and ideas! |
Today's Meet - sadly this has been recently shut down. BOOOOOO!!!!
A backchannel is a space in which secondary conversations happen during content delivery. I use backchannel spaces to give students a place to process information, make connections, ask questions and extend learning.
